Lani Kamauu Yamasaki
Hawaiian Traditions: Navigating Your Soul Home
Lani Kamauu Yamasaki is a native Hawaiian lōkahi (unity and harmony) practitioner who mentors medical and wellness leaders seeking to bridge spirit, science, and indigenous healing. She carries a deep lineage of knowledge, having learned lāʻau lāpaʻau (Hawaiian plant medicine) from her mother, Mary Chun Yamasaki and was ʻūniki (initiated) in traditional Hawaiian psycho-spiritual practices by her elder, Kahuna Halealoha Makua.
A Ford Foundation and Smithsonian Fellow, Lani is a passionate advocate for deep ecology, integrative healing, and community-centered leadership. She brought Native Hawaiian perspectives to the global stage as a panelist at the United Nations’ Reframing Climate Finance forum, speaking to the importance of caring for both the Earth and each other. Lani also serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine and the University of Minnesota’s Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing. An international best-selling co-author alongside changemakers like James Redfield, Brian Tracy, and Ken Honda, she continues to center her work around healing, peacekeeping, and honoring the wisdom of her ancestors.
